Adam Kennedy hit one over the fence as the Los Angeles(AL) Angels outscored
the Kansas City Royals 7 to 5.

Los Angeles(AL) jumped on top of Kansas City in the top of the 3rd inning when
they scored 2 runs on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Orlando
Cabrera who helped quiet the crowd when he doubled scoring two baserunners.
Los Angeles(AL) finished with 11 hits in the victory.

Bartolo Colon(1-2) allowed 5 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Francisco Rodriguez got the save, his 3rd. Jose Lima(1-2) was given
the loss. He allowed 3 homeruns in 9 innings of work.

'I had a little blister on my index finger before the game, but I thought it
was nothing.' Colon said. 'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put
the ball where I wanted it.'

They would prove to be the difference in the contest. Mike Macdougal was
perfect in relief and got the save, his 4th.

'That win feels like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far too much

Catcher Victor Martinez connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the
Cleveland Indians topped the Chicago (AL) Whitesox by a score of 4 to 2 at US
Cellular Field.

In the top of the 3rd inning Cleveland went on top for good scoring one runner
utilizing 2 base hits. Ben Broussard ripped a solo home run (his 6th of the
season). Both teams ended up with 8 hits on the afternoon.

The victory went to Kevin Millwood(2-3) who went 6 and 2/3 innings, allowing
no runs. Bob Howry recorded the save, his 2nd. Jon Garland(3-2) was the
loser.

Cleveland now has a record of a division leading 15-7. With this loss,
Chicago (AL) has a 3-7 record of late, 10-8 overall.

Buehrle(2-1) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Cleveland offense. He

In a two run game the Cleveland Indians got by the Chicago (AL) Whitesox by
the score of 6 to 4.

Chicago (AL) fell behind quickly as the Cleveland offense came through in the
first inning scoring 3 runs using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Coco
Crisp started the rally when he delivered a single. Victor Martinez next to
the plate and he laced a base-knock. Travis Hafner then doubled driving in a
run. Jhonny Peralta was up next and he drew a walk to load the bases.
Freddy Garcia then bounced one in the dirt for a wild pitch plating one more
runner. Ron Belliard added to the uprising and hit a deep fly scoring the
final run of the inning. Chicago (AL) was out-hit by Cleveland, 12 hits to
9.

The win went to David Riske(2-0) who allowed no runs in 2/3 of an inning.

in a hard fought contest.

12,671 fans were treated to a fine game at Kauffman Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Cleveland Indians won by the
slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.

Cleveland jumped on top to stay in the top of the 7th inning scoring one
runner. Coco Crisp drew a walk. Travis Hafner next to the plate and he drew
a walk. Jhonny Peralta was the next batter, but he struck out. After
another out, Ron Belliard stepped up to the plate and he slapped a single
scoring the run. Cleveland finished with 12 hits in the victory.

Fernando Cabrera(1-0) allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. David Riske was credited with his 3rd save. The losing pitcher was
D.J. Carrasco(1-2).

They almost ran out of baseballs at SAFECO Field as Texas Rangers clobbered
the Seattle Mariners pitching staff, scoring 10 runs while Chris Young(2-1),
