Detroit Tigers by a score of 5 to 3 at Comerica Park.

Cleveland had 4 runs cross the plate in the 7th inning with the help of 5
hits. The big moment was provided by Grady Sizemore who deflated the mood of
the partisan fans when he slapped a one-base hit plating two runs. Despite
losing, Detroit out-hit Cleveland 13 to 9.

The victory was credited to Rafael Betancourt(2-1) who went 1 inning, allowing
no runs. David Riske gained credit for his 4th save. Jason Johnson(0-1) was
the loser. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings giving up 7 hits and no walks.

This win by Cleveland continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten
games, they have a record of 8-2. For the season, they are a division
leading 17-8. Dave Murray was pretty down after the loss. 'We've really
been sputtering along lately, something like 2-8 in the last week or two.
That won't get it done.'
