WEB GEMS- Bot 6th: Darwin Barney robbed Andre Ethier of a base hit.

Adrian Gonzalez had 2 base hits as the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers bested the
Chicago (NL) Cubs 3 to 1 at Dodger Stadium.

Los Angeles(NL) came up with 2 runs in the 2nd inning. Matt Kemp kicked off
the action when he drew a walk. Gonzalez was next and he doubled. A.J.
Ellis then was walked intentionally to load the bases. Clayton Kershaw was
up next and he lined a one-base hit knocking in a run. After an out was
recorded, Mark Ellis stepped up to the plate and he would ground out scoring
the final run of the inning. That early run support was enough for

Mat Latos(2-1) and Francisco Liriano(0-3) locked horns in a pitcher's duel
with Latos and the Cincinnati Reds coming out on top of the Pittsburgh
Pirates 1 to 0.

Pittsburgh fell behind quickly as the Cincinnati offense came through in the
first inning scoring a single run on 2 base hits. That early run support was
enough for Latos and Cincinnati. Pittsburgh threatened in the 9th but their
rally came up short.

Aroldis Chapman recorded the save, his 3rd.
