Cuddyer was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided much of the offense for the visitors. He lifted one out of the park for a two run home run in the 2nd inning, delivered a single in the 4th inning and hit a one-base hit scoring two baserunners in the 7th inning. Colorado bats were very productive in the 1st inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits and the 7th inning with 5 runs on 4 hits. Colorado had 18 hits overall, while Arizona had 9. The winning pitcher was Jorge De La Rosa(3-4) who allowed 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Wade Miley(4-4) was the losing pitcher. While he was the losing pitcher, he still struck out 4 batters in 1 and 2/3 innings.
