Darvish(3-0) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the Baltimore batters. He allowed just 5 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 1.62. Texas had 13 hits for the afternoon. Jake Arrieta(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 10 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings. Craig Lombardi was obviously impressed with the pitching of Darvish, 'That guy made us look a little silly out there this afternoon. We just couldn't get to him at all - everything was working for him. I just hope that he got that kinda performance out of his system.'
