It was a great finish at Fenway Park as the Boston Redsox pulled off a
dramatic comeback beating the Toronto Bluejays by the count of 2 to
1.

Boston came up with the deciding runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 2
runs on 3 hits. Daniel Nava got things rolling when he cracked a solo
homerun. Stephen Drew followed next and he ripped a base-hit. Mike Carp
then reached on an error. Jacoby Ellsbury was up next and he grounded into a
double play. Dustin Pedroia came to the plate and smacked a single giving
Boston the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy. For the game
Boston out-hit Toronto 10 to 5.

The win was credited to Andrew Miller(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing
no runs. The losing pitcher was Casey Janssen(0-2) in relief. He gave up 2
runs without retiring a batter and saw his ERA jump from 2.38 to 3.18.

them all and had 2 RBI at Rogers Centre as the Toronto Bluejays beat the
Houston Astros 4 to 3.

Buehrle(4-1) gave Toronto a solid outing. He went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing
6 hits and 2 walks. Casey Janssen pitched a perfect ninth and was credited
with his 2nd save.

Bud Norris(1-2) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 12 hits

In a tight game it was the Detroit Tigers 4, the Cleveland Indians 2 in 10
innings at Progressive Field.

The score was knotted at 2 after nine innings. Detroit won the game in the
10th inning. Torii Hunter started the inning off right when he laced a
base-knock. Alex Avila was the next batter, but he struck out. Andy Dirks
then delivered a one-base hit. Dirks took second on the throw. Austin
Jackson came up and he reached on an error which brought home a run. Omar
Infante stepped into the box and reached on an error scoring the final run of
the inning. Detroit finished with 12 hits while Cleveland ended up with 7.

Drew Smyly(1-0) went 3 and 2/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Joe
Smith(1-1) was tagged with the loss in relief. He was a hard-luck loser as
he did not allow an earned run in his 1 and 2/3 innings of work.
