Orioles 9 to 1 at Comerica Park.

Detroit jumped on top to stay in the 2nd inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 4
base hits. After an out was recorded, Victor Martinez began things off when
he smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'. Jhonny Peralta followed and he doubled.
Torii Hunter then stroked a single. Hunter took second on the throw. Alex
Avila followed next and he doubled scoring the final run of the inning. That
was all the runs Scherzer(4-3) needed. Detroit banged out 16 hits on the

Wei-Yin Chen(0-1) was the loser. He was not very effective, surrendering 5
runs in 4 and 1/3 innings. 'He came out with good stuff,' Chris Couch said
