The San Francisco Giants had very little trouble at SBC Park downing the San
Diego Padres. The score was 13 to 6.

Randy Winn had a big day at the plate. He tripled in the 1st inning, doubled
in the 5th inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 2nd of the season) in
the 6th inning. San Francisco simply wore out the San Diego pitching staff,
scoring in 6 different innings.

Brad Hennessey(2-0) went 8 innings allowing 6 runs for the win. Brian

Tim Hudson pitched 9 strong innings at Turner Field as the Atlanta Braves
belted the Florida Marlins by the count of 15 to 2.

It was a good day for Atlanta thanks to Andruw Jones. He stroked a single
bringing in a run in the 6th inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence
(his 2nd of the season) in the 8th inning. Atlanta lit up the scoreboard in
the 6th inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits and the 8th inning when
they had 4 runs on 6 hits. Atlanta had a total of 17 hits for the game.

Hudson(1-0) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Josh
Beckett(0-2) ended up with the loss. He was the victim of a defensive lapse
and did not allow an earned run in the game.

'Hudson took our guys to school' Andy Virostek said. 'Too bad he doesn't pitch
for us - it would make my job a whole lot easier!'
