Designated hitter Mark Trumbo touched them all at O.co Coliseum where the Los
Angeles(AL) Angels beat the Oakland A's 5 to 4.
 
The game was won by Los Angeles(AL) when they scored a run in the 9th inning.
Mike Trout drew a walk.  One out later, Trumbo struck out, unable to help the
rally.  Howie Kendrick then doubled.  The Oakland bats were silent in the
bottom of the 9th.  
 
The winning pitcher was Garrett Richards(2-0) who allowed no runs in 2
innings. Richards got help from Kevin Jepsen who earned his 5th save.  Jordan
Norberto(0-3) absorbed the loss in relief.  He pitched 2 innings giving up 1
hit and 1 walk.

Trout had a big day with his bat.  He doubled in the 1st inning, lofted a
three-run 'big-fly' in the 4th inning, doubled in the 6th inning and
delivered a one-base hit in the 8th inning.  Los Angeles(AL) rapped out 14
hits for the afternoon.  
 
The victory was credited to Wilson(6-0) who went the distance, allowing 1 run.
Jarrod Parker(1-4) took the loss.  He was unable to control the Los
Angeles(AL) offense and allowed 10 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.

Catcher Matt Wieters launched 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Baltimore
Orioles destroyed the Houston Astros by a score of 13 to 0 at Camden
Yards.
 
Wieters had a big day at the plate.  He belted a three-run homer in the 1st
inning, smacked a single in the 3rd inning and lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'
in the 4th inning.  Houston was out-hit by Baltimore, 14 hits to 7.  
 
The victory went to Chris Tillman(3-0) who went 7 and 1/3 innings, allowing no
runs. Dallas Keuchel(0-3) was given the loss.  'I felt great out there
today,' Wieters said, 'Maybe I should make a regular habit of getting to bed
on time!'

Both teams were tied at 4 runs apiece after nine innings.  Texas was
victorious in the 14th inning.  Elvis Andrus led off and got things going
when he smacked a single.  Hamilton followed and he blasted a two-run home
run making Texas the victor and beginning a joyous home town celebration.

At O.co Coliseum, the Oakland fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel.  Brandon
McCarthy(2-1) finally bested his Chicago (AL) opposite, Chris Sale(1-6), by
the score of 2 to 0.
 
McCarthy gave a fine effort for Oakland.  He allowed 6 hits and 3 walks in 5
and 1/3 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.55 to 2.93.  After the 4th inning,
neither team was able to score.  
 
Grant Balfour preserved the game for McCarthy, recording his his 11th save.
The loss was charged to Sale.  He was pinned with the loss despite not
allowing an earned run in his 7 innings of work.  
 
'He gutted it out' Lee Michaels said of McCarthy.  'I was very impressed by
his tenacity.'

Oakland lost it in the 1st inning when Baltimore did all their damage when
they tallied 5 runs on 4 hits.  That was all Joe Saunders(1-0) needed.  Jim
Johnson earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 6th save.  
 
Bartolo Colon(3-2) took the loss.  He pitched 5 and 2/3 innings allowing 9
hits and 1 walk.

Ryan Sweeney had 4 hits and scored 3 times as the Boston Redsox man-handled

Cleveland never recovered after Boston took the lead in the 2nd inning scoring
4 runners on 5 hits.  That scoring would be all that was needed.  Boston kept
the scorekeepers busy in the 2nd inning which saw them plate 4 runs on 5 hits
and the 8th inning which saw them score 6 runs on 6 hits.  For the game
Boston out-hit Cleveland 22 to 7.  
 
Josh Beckett(3-2) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 2 runs. Matt Albers earned his 1st save.  Derek Lowe(0-1) ended up
with the loss.  He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 22 hits and 6 walks
in 8 innings.

Cleveland scored all of the necessary runs in the 8th inning when they came up
with 5 runs on 3 hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Jason Kipnis
who silenced Tropicana Field as he tripled plating three runs.  Cleveland and
Tampa Bay each finished the afternoon with 5 hits.  
 
The winning pitcher was Vinnie Pestano(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 inning.
David Price(2-3) ended up with the loss.  He surrendered 4 hits and 4 walks

Designated hitter David Ortiz slammed 2 homeruns as the Boston Redsox beat the
Cleveland Indians by a score of 2 to 1.
 
Boston scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning.  Ortiz hit a
bases-empty home run.  After an out was recorded, Adrian Gonzalez stepped in
and he slapped a one-base hit.  Cody Ross then doubled.  One out later, Ryan
Sweeney dug into the batters box next, but he struck out.  Boston ended up
with 8 hits for the game while Cleveland had 5.  
 
The win went to Matt Albers(1-0) who allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
Albers was helped out by Franklin Morales who recorded his 2nd save.  Josh
Tomlin(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  
 
Boston now has a record of a division leading 13-9.  With the loss, the
Cleveland ballclub's record is 13-7.

The game was won by Minnesota when they scored a run in the 9th inning.  After
two outs Brian Dozier smashed a solo-shot out of the park.  Jamey Carroll was
next to bat, but he was a strikeout victim.  Matt Capps came throught with a
perfect ninth inning to earn his 1st save.  
 
Darren O'Day(1-1) was the loser in relief.  By surrending 1 run in 1 inning
his ERA jumped from 1.66 to 1.99.
