Jose Bautista blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Toronto Bluejays defeated
the Baltimore Orioles by the score of 5 to 1 at Camden Yards.

The Baltimore fans didn't appreciate the big day Bautista had. He tripled in
the 4th inning, lined a one-base hit bringing home two baserunners in the 5th
inning and smashed a solo-shot out of the park in the 8th inning. Both teams
ended up with 9 hits on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Scott Downs(1-0) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
David Purcey earned his 2nd save. Jeremy Guthrie(0-4) was hit with the loss.

With this win, Toronto has a 7-11 record. They have been 5-5 lately. With the
loss, Baltimore has a record of 3-7 lately, 7-12 overall.

In a thriling finish the Baltimore Orioles pulled off the win over the Toronto
Bluejays by a score of 4 to 3 at Camden Yards.

Baltimore won the game with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. Adam Jones
stroked a one-base hit. Nick Markakis next to the plate and he doubled.
Luke Scott then was walked intentionally. Matt Wieters stepped in and he was
walked intentionally to load the bases. Corey Patterson came up to bat and
worked the squeeze play to perfection resulting in a mighty exciting win for
Baltimore and the 14,089 home town fans in attendance. Baltimore out-hit
Toronto for the game, 11 hits to 7.

The victory went to Koji Uehara(1-0) who went 1 inning, allowing no runs. Marc
Rzepczynski(0-2) was the loser in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning and
surrendered 2 hits and 2 walks.

Brandon Morrow racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts and Jose
Bautista smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Toronto Bluejays defeated
the Baltimore Orioles by a score of 9 to 3 at Rogers Centre.

Bautista enjoyed a big day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 5th inning and ripped a
one-base hit knocking in a run in the 6th inning. For the game Toronto
out-hit Baltimore 11 to 5.

Morrow(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 3
runs. The loss was charged to Brian Matusz(1-1). He was touched for 4
homeruns in his 5 and 2/3 innings of work.

'Everything felt great' Morrow said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'

Baltimore was unable to claim the lead after Tampa Bay went ahead in the 4th

afternoon.

The win was credited to Price(2-2) who went the whole way allowing 1 run. Brad

At Camden Yards the Tampa Bay Rays outscored the Baltimore Orioles in 10
innings 4 to 1.

Both teams were tied at 1 runs apiece after nine innings. Tampa Bay ended up
winning it in the 10th inning. Jason Bartlett led off the inning for Tampa
Bay when he doubled. B.J. Upton followed next and he drew a walk. Carlos
Pena then lofted a three-run bomb. Two outs later Ben Zobrist came to bat
and laced a base-hit. Although they lost, Baltimore did out-hit Tampa Bay 12
to 6.

Rafael Soriano(1-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Dan
Wheeler recorded the save, his 1st. Matt Albers(2-2) was the losing pitcher

Left fielder Delmon Young had 5 hits and 5 RBI and Francisco Liriano held
Houston to 3 hits as the Houston Astros were badly beaten by the Minnesota
Twins, 15 to 1.

Young enjoyed a great day at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning, ripped
a one-base hit which plated a run in the 3rd inning, lined a single in the
5th inning, stroked a base-hit knocking in a run in the 7th inning and
clubbed a three-run home run in the 8th inning. Minnesota lit up the
scoreboard in the 3rd inning when they had 5 runs on 3 hits and the 8th
inning which saw them score 5 runs on 4 hits. Minnesota had a total of 15
hits for the game.

Liriano(2-2) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. Bud Norris(0-3)
suffered the loss. He was unable to control the Minnesota offense and
allowed 6 hits and 2 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings.

'All of my pitches were working today,' Liriano said. 'I felt really good out
there, and heck, I think I could have gone longer.'

Kansas City Royals won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Tampa Bay Rays at
Kauffman Stadium pulling it out in their last at bats, 3 to 2.

The game was won by Kansas City with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning.
After an out was recorded, Mike Aviles singled. Scott Podsednik came next
and he hit a single. After another out, Rick Ankiel stepped in and he lined
a one-base hit giving Kansas City the win much to the delight of the home
town crowd. Kansas City finished with 12 hits while Tampa Bay ended up with
6.

Robinson Tejeda(2-0) went 1 inning allowing no runs for the win. The loss was
charged to Grant Balfour(0-1) in relief. When questioned, Lee Michaels
remarked, 'It's been a while since a win felt this good - heck, it's been a
while since we had a win period!'
