Chen(2-2) finally bested his Cleveland opposite, Zach McAllister(2-2), by the
score of 1 to 0.

Baltimore scored the only run of the game in the 4th inning. Nate McLouth hit
a bases-empty home run. Wilson Betemit was next and he drew a walk. Adam
Jones then was hit by a pitch. Chris Davis stepped in and he grounded into a
double play. Baltimore had just 3 hits for the afternoon.

Chen got help from Troy Patton who was credited with his 2nd save. McAllister
was the loser. He was stingy with the baserunners, allowing just 2 hits and
1 walk in 5 innings.

Daric Barton hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI at O.co Coliseum where the Oakland
A's beat the Detroit Tigers by the score of 9 to 5.

Oakland had 6 runs cross the plate in the 2nd inning when they came up with 5
base hits. That early run support was all that Bartolo Colon(4-2) required.
Oakland finished with 10 hits in the victory.

Rick Porcello(2-3) took the loss. He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 6 hits and 4 walks in 2 innings. Third baseman Miguel Cabrera
knocked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI but despite his efforts, it wasn't enough to
put Detroit over the top.
