Third baseman David Wright collected 4 RBI with one swing of the bat as the
New York (NL) Mets defeated the Colorado Rockies by the score of 13 to 11 at
Coors Field.

Wright had a good day at the plate. He lashed a single in the 5th inning,
smacked a one-base hit in the 7th inning and caught a hold of a bad pitch for
a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning. Colorado was not lacking for run
support as they scored in 5 separate innings, yet victory eluded them as they
seemed to forget that pitching is also needed to win ballgames.

Brandon Lyon(1-0) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the victory.
Carlos Torres preserved the game for Lyon, recording his his 1st save. Rex
Brothers(0-1) was the loser in relief.

when he stroked a single. Jordan Schafer stepped up next and he doubled.
Justin Upton then launched a three-run homer. Freddie Freeman stepped in and
he slapped a single. Brian McCann stepped into the box and drew a walk.
Atlanta had 8 hits for the afternoon.

the mood for questions, but I'm sure Fredi Gonzalez will be glad to talk
about the game as long as you have questions to ask.'
