scoreboard in the 1st inning and ripped the floundering Washington Nationals
by a 12 to 6 count.

Milwaukee wasted no time and took the lead in the first inning when they
scored 6 runs on 5 hits. The big moment was provided by J.J. Hardy who
silenced the stadium when he laced a single plating two runs. Although they
lost, Washington did out-hit Milwaukee 11 to 8.

Mark Difelice(2-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the victory.
John Lannan(1-2) was the losing pitcher. Adam Dunn slammed 3 homeruns and
had 5 RBI but his offense was not enough to carry Washington to victory.
