Justin Verlander dominated striking out 13 Minnesota batters at Comerica Park
where the Detroit Tigers beat the Minnesota Twins 4 to 2.

Verlander(4-1) was tremendous on the mound for Detroit. He didn't give up
much, just 4 hits and 1 walk in 8 innings. Daniel Schlereth was great in
relief and recorded his 1st save.

Brian Duensing(0-4) absorbed the loss. Chris Couch was asked about the
performance of Verlander, 'He had his good stuff out there this afternoon.
The fans really get into it when the strikeouts start mounting up - and that
seems to give him even more adrenalin.'
