The Boston Redsox nipped the Los Angeles(AL) Angels 2 to 1 at Fenway Park in a
hard fought contest.

Manny Delcarmen(1-0) earned the victory with a fine relief performance. He
performed flawlessly in relief in his 2 and 2/3 innings. Neither team
managed to score after the 2nd inning.

Jonathan Papelbon was credited with his 1st save. Ervin Santana(0-1) absorbed
the loss. He surrendered 6 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
