In a dramatic ending the Chicago (NL) Cubs staged a comeback and held on to
win over the New York (NL) Mets by the count of 3 to 2.

Chicago (NL) erupted with the game winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
with 2 runs on 3 hits. After two outs Anthony Rizzo opened up the rally as
he doubled. Ryan Sweeney stepped into the batter's box and he tripled. Nate
Schierholtz then slapped a one-base hit. Chicago (NL) had only 4 hits for
the game.

The win was credited to Hector Rondon(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning allowing
no runs. Rondon got help from Kevin Gregg who was credited with his 1st save.
Bobby Parnell(0-1) was given the loss in relief.

'I pin this one on my own shoulders,' Parnell said. 'The bottom line is I
didn't get the job done. Our fans deserve better than this.'
