In a thrilling finish the Houston Astros won in dramatic fashion coming back
to beat the Tampa Bay Rays by the count of 7 to 5.

Houston won the game with a rally in the 9th inning when they scored 4 runs on
3 hits. The big moment was provided by Justin Maxwell who brought a roar
from the partisan Minute Maid Park fans when he electrified the crowd with a
Grand Slam home run. Houston rapped out 11 hits for the afternoon.

Jose Veras(1-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
Fernando Rodney(0-2) was the loser in relief. Bo Porter was in great spirits
in his post-game interview. Yet, when asked about his feelings after the
thrilling comeback victory, he volunteered, 'I'll tell you this much - I know
how my counterpart, Joe Barrett, feels right now - and it's not very good.
It's terrible when you come up on the short end of one of these!'
