12,671 fans were treated to a fine game at Kauffman Stadium as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Cleveland Indians won by the
slimmest of margins, 5 to 4.

Cleveland jumped on top to stay in the top of the 7th inning scoring one
runner. Coco Crisp drew a walk. Travis Hafner next to the plate and he drew
a walk. Jhonny Peralta was the next batter, but he struck out. After
another out, Ron Belliard stepped up to the plate and he slapped a single
scoring the run. Cleveland finished with 12 hits in the victory.

Fernando Cabrera(1-0) allowed no runs in 2 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. David Riske was credited with his 3rd save. The losing pitcher was
D.J. Carrasco(1-2).
