Angel Berroa had 2 base hits as the Kansas City Royals defeated the Los
Angeles(AL) Angels 5 to 2 at Angels Stadium.

Kansas City came up with 4 runs in the 7th inning when they had 4 base hits.
They would prove to be the difference in the contest. Mike Macdougal was
perfect in relief and got the save, his 4th.

The win went to J.P. Howell(1-1) who allowed 2 runs in 8 innings. John
Lackey(0-1) took the loss. 'Ahhh, how sweet it is,' Lee Michaels sighed.
'That win feels like a tall, cool drink of water after spending far too much
time in the desert lately.'
