Casey McGehee went yard as the Milwaukee Brewers bested the Washington
Nationals 8 to 7 at Nationals Park.

Milwaukee took the lead off Craig Stammen in the first inning when they
tallied 4 runs on 3 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Ryan Braun
who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he blasted a Grand Slam
homerun. John Axford earned the save with a perfect ninth, his 3rd save.

Carlos Villanueva(1-1) was the winner allowing no runs in 2 and 2/3 innings.
Stammen(1-2) took the loss. He gave up 7 hits and 1 walk in 1 inning.
