Roy Oswalt carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Philadelphia
Phillies defeated the Washington Nationals by a score of 4 to 0 at Citizen's
Bank Park.

Oswalt(2-0) was simply too much for the Washington batters. He gave up just 3
hits and 1 walk in 9 innings lowering his ERA to 3.52. The right-handed
Oswalt lost his chance for a no-hitter when Drew Storen singled with one out
in the 6th inning. Philadelphia totaled 8 hits on the afternoon.

Luis Atilano(2-1) was the loser. He allowed a few too many baserunners giving
up 7 hits and 3 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
