Edwin Encarnacion smashed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds
defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 3 to 0 at Busch Stadium.

Encarnacion led the offense for Cincinnati. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown'
in the 2nd inning, smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 8th of the
season) in the 4th inning and doubled which scored a run in the 9th inning.
Cincinnati had a total of 7 hits for the game.

Edinson Volquez(3-3) went 8 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win.
Francisco Cordero got the save, his 5th. Adam Wainwright(2-2) was given the
loss. He surrendered just 5 hits and no walks in 8 innings.
