Catcher Geovany Soto ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Minute Maid Park where
the Chicago (NL) Cubs beat the Houston Astros by the score of 7 to 2.

Soto was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He blasted a solo shot in the 2nd
inning and cracked a two-run shot in the 5th inning. Chicago (NL) totaled 11
hits on the night.

Carlos Zambrano(2-0) allowed 1 run in 6 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. The loss was charged to Mike Hampton(0-2). He was touched for 4
homeruns in his 6 innings of work.
