Jarrod Parker(2-5), with relief help from Ryan Cook, shut-down Seattle while
the Oakland A's scored 5 runs in a day game at O.co Coliseum.
 
Parker gave a fine effort for Oakland.  He surrendered 9 hits and 3 walks in 8
and 1/3 innings.  Although they lost, Seattle did out-hit Oakland 9 to 6.
 
Blake Beavan(0-1) absorbed the loss.  He allowed 5 runs and 5 hits in 6
innings.
