Third baseman Kyle Seager went deep and had 2 RBI as the Seattle Mariners
defeated the Cleveland Indians 4 to 1 at SAFECO Field.
 
Seattle had 3 runs cross the plate in the 3rd inning with the help of 3 hits.
That scoring would be all that was needed.  Seattle managed 9 hits in their
victory.  
 
Erasmo Ramirez(1-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and
allowing 1 run. Josh Kinney earned his 1st save.  Ubaldo Jimenez(2-1) was
charged with the loss.  He was knocked around, surrendering 3 runs in 2
innings.
