In a lop-sided win the Atlanta Braves ripped the San Diego Padres by a 9 to 2
count.

Atlanta took the lead off Pedro Astacio in the first inning when they scored 5
runs on 2 hits. That early scoring was all that Jorge Sosa(1-1) needed.
Atlanta had just 6 hits for the afternoon.

Astacio(0-1) ended up with the loss. He was not very effective, surrendering
8 runs in 5 innings.
