Jose Vidro had 2 base hits as the Washington Nationals defeated the Atlanta
Braves in 10 innings by the score of 4 to 3 at Turner Field.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Finally, Washington
pulled the game out in the 10th inning. Vidro doubled. After an out was
recorded, Nick Johnson came to the plate and was walked intentionally. Vinny
Castilla then reached on an error scoring the run. Washington managed 9 in
their victory.

Hector Carrasco(3-0) allowed no runs in 1 inning, and picked up the victory.
Chad Cordero gained credit for his 2nd save. Jim Brower(0-1) took the loss
in relief. He pitched 2 innings allowing 2 hits and no walks.

'It's been a rough ride lately, but this was a good win for us' said Lee
Michaels, 'Maybe this will put us back on track.'
