Third baseman Melvin Mora launched 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI and Bruce Chen
allowed only 3 hits resulting in a big goose egg on the scoreboard for Tampa
Bay as the Tampa Bay team were badly beaten by the Baltimore Orioles, 11 to
0.

Mora was in a groove all day. The Tampa Bay fans hated to see him approaching
the batter's box. He cleared the fences for a two-run home run in the 1st
inning, lashed a single in the 2nd inning, doubled in the 4th inning, slapped
a base-hit in the 7th inning and cracked a solo homerun (his 6th of the
season) in the 9th inning. Baltimore bats were hot in the 1st inning with 3
runs and the 5th inning which saw them plate 3 runs on 5 hits. Baltimore had
many opportunities throughout the game and scored in 6 separate innings.

Chen(2-5) went the distance for the shutout. Casey Fossum(0-5) absorbed the
loss. He allowed 13 hits and 4 walks in 6 innings.

'Chen just dominated us' losing pitcher Fossum said. 'Hopefully we can get to
him the next time around'
