Hank Blalock slammed a homerun and had 2 RBI as the Texas Rangers defeated the
Detroit Tigers 4 to 3 at Ameriquest Field.

Texas came up with 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning with the help of 3
hits. They ended up being the winning runs. Francisco Cordero earned the
save with a perfect ninth, his 4th save.

Doug Brocail(1-1) went 1 and 1/3 innings allowing 1 run for the victory. Mike
Maroth(0-6) was given the loss. He surrendered 4 runs and 7 hits in 6 and
1/3 innings.
