Yovani Gallardo racked up an impressive total of 10 strikeouts at Miller Park
as the Milwaukee Brewers beat the Chicago (NL) Cubs by the count of 8 to
2.

Gallardo(4-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed only 7 hits
and 1 walk in 9 innings dropping his ERA from 3.13 to 2.91. Both teams
totaled 7 hits on the afternoon.

The loss was charged to Tom Gorzelanny(3-2). He was knocked around,
surrendering 8 runs in 7 innings. The Milwaukee fans were thrilled by the
performance put forth by Gallardo, but it was clearly his strikeouts that
they enjoyed most. 'When he reached 10 strikeouts the fans showed him their
appreciation with a loud cheer.' Andy Virostek said following the game.
