34,172 fans watched an exciting game at PNC Park. The Pittsburgh Pirates
topped the Cincinnati Reds by the slimmest of margins, 6 to 5.

Pittsburgh had the game winning rally in the bottom of the 8th inning plating
2 runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, Garrett Jones started the
attack as he doubled. Neil Walker next to the plate and he smashed a two-run
homer. After another out, Michael McKenry followed, but he was set down on
strikes. Cincinnati had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up
short.

Tony Watson(2-0) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Brad
Lincoln earned his 1st save. Jose Arredondo(1-1) suffered the loss in
relief.
