Marlins defeated the Philadelphia Phillies by the score of 5 to 2 at Citizens
Bank Park.
 
Miami tallied 3 runs in the top of the 4th inning with the help of 3 hits.
The crucial at-bat was provided by Ruggiano who silenced the crowd when he
doubled which was good for two runs.  Philadelphia had a chance in the 9th
but they came up short.  
 
The win was credited to Carlos Zambrano(1-0) who went 8 innings allowing 2
runs. Steve Cishek was credited with his 1st save.  The losing pitcher was
Cliff Lee(1-1).
