Tim Lincecum(1-0) and Cole Hamels(1-1) locked horns in a pitcher's duel with
Lincecum and the San Francisco Giants coming out on top of the Philadelphia
Phillies 2 to 1.

San Francisco had 2 runs cross the plate in the 3rd inning. That early
scoring held up. Both teams' bats went to sleep after the 3rd inning with no
runs scored after that point.

Sergio Romo earned the save, his 1st. 'I just wanted to give my team a chance
to win.' said Lincecum, 'I got burned on a couple of pitches. But we won the
game, and that's all that matters.'
