A.J. Ellis had 4 hits and 3 RBI and Clayton Kershaw reeled off a total of 11
strikeouts at Coors Field as the Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers beat the Colorado
Rockies by the count of 9 to 0.
 
Kershaw(3-0) was indeed brilliant as he hand-cuffed the Colorado offense.  He
allowed just 5 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings reducing his ERA from 1.26 to
1.01.  Los Angeles(NL) had a total of 14 hits for the game.  
 
Juan Nicasio(1-4) took the loss.  He got hit hard, allowing 7 hits and 4 walks
in 3 innings.  Walt Weiss was impressed with Kershaw and his 11 strikeouts.
'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make contact with the ball.'
