The Los Angeles(NL) Dodgers tallied 5 runs in the 2nd inning and had very
little trouble at Dodger Stadium downing the New York (NL) Mets.  The score
was 11 to 6.
 
Adrian Gonzalez provided much of the offense.  He electrified the crowd with a
Grand Slam home run in the 1st inning and stroked a base-hit resulting in a
run in the 2nd inning.  Los Angeles(NL) had 12 hits for the game and New York
(NL) had 8.  
 
The victory was credited to Carlos Marmol(1-0) who went 2 and 2/3 innings,
allowing no runs. Dillon Gee(0-3) was charged with the loss.  He surrendered
9 hits and 2 walks in 1 and 1/3 innings.  
 
Los Angeles(NL) now has a record of a division leading 16-9.  New York (NL)
has a record of 10-12 after the loss.
