A.J. Burnett pitched 9 strong innings as the Pittsburgh Pirates topped the
Chicago (NL) Cubs by a score of 5 to 0 at Wrigley Field.
 
Burnett(2-2) was simply too much for the Chicago (NL) batters.  He surrendered
only 4 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 3.20 to 2.20.
Pittsburgh had a total of 7 hits for the game.  
 
Travis Wood(1-2) was given the loss.  'We didn't have a whole lot of chances
today,' Joe Barrett said.  'Burnett just was too much for our guys.'
