David Wright had 3 base hits as the New York (NL) Mets defeated the San
Francisco Giants 5 to 4 at AT&T Park.
 
The game was won by New York (NL) when they scored a run in the top of the 9th
inning.  John Buck laced a single.  Juan Lagares stepped into the batter's
box and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Justin Turner was next to bat, but he
was a strikeout victim.  Ruben Tejada was up next and he slapped a one-base
hit scoring the run.  Tejada took second on the throw.  The San Francisco
offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.  
 
David Aardsma(1-2) got the win allowing no runs in 2 innings. Aardsma got
relief help from Latroy Hawkins who gained credit for his 1st save.  Yusmeiro
Petit(0-3) was charged with the loss in relief.  Despite losing, he struckout
8 New York (NL) batters in 4 and 1/3 innings.  
 
Wth the win New York (NL) now has a record of 12-12.  With this loss, San
Francisco has a 4-6 record of late, 6-10 overall.
