History was made in San Francisco as Matt Cain(1-0) tossed a no-hitter and the
San Francisco Giants defeated the Colorado Rockies by the score of 10 to
0.

Cain gave the home town fans an afternoon that they'll never forget. He
walked 5 Colorado batters. The tension started to build around the 6th
inning. By the 9th inning the crowd was electrified. San Francisco had a
total of 13 hits for the game.

Jason Jennings(1-5) absorbed the loss. He allowed 6 hits and 1 walk in 5 and
1/3 innings. 'I gave it everything I had. It's probably the greatest day of
my life,' Cain said. 'I was out there focusing on my catcher's glove, that's
all. I just concentrated on pitching my game.'
