Center fielder Andruw Jones went deep and had 2 RBI and John Smoltz shut down
the Houston batters on just 3 hits at Turner Field as the Atlanta Braves beat
the Houston Astros by the count of 8 to 0.

Smoltz(5-1) came through with a virtuoso performance against the Houston
hitters. He surrendered only 3 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings lowering his
ERA to 2.09. Atlanta banged out 14 on the afternoon.
