One run was the difference at Camden Yards as the Seattle Mariners defeated
the Baltimore Orioles 5 to 4.

Seattle jumped on top of Baltimore in the 7th inning scoring 2 runs utilizing
3 base hits. Mike Morse led off and he stroked a one-base hit. Adrian
Beltre struck out, unable to help the rally. Yuniesky Betancourt then
smacked a single. One out later, Jose Lopez came to the plate and blasted a
two-run home run (his 1st of the season). Baltimore had a chance in the 9th
but they came up short.

The win was credited to Joel Pineiro(1-0) who went 6 innings allowing 4 runs.
Eddie Guardado was credited with his 1st save. The losing pitcher was Todd
Williams(0-1) in relief. He allowed 1 run and 2 hits in 3 innings.
