Eric Hinske ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Yankee Stadium as the New York
(AL) Yankees pulled off a dramatic comeback beating the Boston Redsox by the
count of 11 to 10.

New York (AL) scored the winning runs in the bottom of the 9th inning with 3
runs using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Hinske kicked off the action
when he blasted a solo shot. Melky Cabrera stepped into the batter's box and
he smashed a solo-shot out of the park. Derek Jeter then drew a walk. Jeter
was running on the next pitch and he stole second. Johnny Damon came up to
bat and was walked intentionally. Mark Teixeira continued the rally and
laced a single. Teixeira took second on the throw. New York (AL) finished
with 15 hits while Boston ended up with 10.

The win was credited to Mariano Rivera(1-1) who went 1 inning allowing no
runs. Daniel Bard(1-2) was the loser in relief. He allowed 2 hits and 2
walks without retiring a batter.

'Now there is a lesson in perseverance for you,' Hinske noted. 'It was
looking pretty dim there for a while, but we just kept plugging away and it
really paid off in spades! And it was great to see the crowd go crazy there
at the end!'
