Chris Volstad went 9 strong innings and Emilio Bonifacio had 3 base hits as
the Florida Marlins outscored the Chicago (NL) Cubs 5 to 1.

Chicago (NL) surrendered all of the runs Florida needed in the 5th inning when
they scored 5 runs on 5 hits. The biggest moment was provided by Volstad who
made the Florida fans a happy lot when he lined a single plating two runs.
Florida had a total of 9 hits for the game.

Volstad(2-0) allowed 1 run on the game. Matt Garza(2-2) was given the loss.
Andy Virostek was very impressed with his pitcher, Volstad, 'He had unusually
good pitch placement this afternoon. It was almost unfair - but a beautiful
game to watch from where I sat'
