Left fielder Matt Holliday blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the St. Louis
Cardinals pulled out a win over the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 6 to 5 at
Busch Stadium.

The game was decided in the 9th inning. Albert Pujols banged out a single.
Jon Jay stepped up next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt. Lance Berkman
then was walked intentionally. Holliday dug into the batters box next, but
he struck out. David Freese came to the plate and delivered a base-hit, and
an error was also committed, resulting in an exciting win for St. Louis and a
raucous post-game celebration by the home town fans. St. Louis rapped out 11
hits for the afternoon.

Jason Motte(3-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
John Axford(0-2) ended up with the loss in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an
inning giving up 1 hit and 1 walk.
