Robinson Cano had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the New York (AL) Yankees bested
the Minnesota Twins 8 to 5 at Target Field.
 
New York (AL) started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half
of the first when they came up with 6 runs on 3 hits.  That early scoring was
all that Freddy Garcia(2-0) needed.  New York (AL) had 14 hits for the game
and Minnesota had 11.  
 
Rafael Soriano recorded his 5th save.  The losing pitcher was Scott
Diamond(1-5).  He gave up 6 runs and 2 hits without retiring a batter.
