Mat Latos carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Cincinnati Reds beat
the Colorado Rockies by a score of 2 to 0.

Latos(2-0) simply dominated Colorado. He didn't give up much, just 1 hit and
3 walks in 9 innings. Latos mowed down 11 Colorado batters lowering his ERA
from 1.17 to 0.74. The right-handed Latos lost a no-hitter when Todd Helton
singled with nobody out in the 6th inning. The pitchers took over after the
2nd inning as neither team was able to score again.

Jeff Francis(1-3) was charged with the loss. He allowed 5 hits and 1 walk in
5 innings. 'He came out with good stuff,' Dusty Baker said about Latos. 'He
threw the ball good from the first pitch on.'
