Right fielder Jayson Werth blasted a grand slam as the Washington Nationals
defeated the Atlanta Braves by the score of 7 to 4 at Nationals Park.
Werth helped send the fans home happy. He doubled in the 6th inning and
emptied the bases with a Grand Slam homerun in the 7th inning. Washington
ended up with 9 hits for the game while Atlanta had 6.
Tanner Roark(1-0) went 2 innings allowing no runs for the victory. Rafael
Soriano gained credit for his 2nd save. Mike Minor(1-1) took the loss.
