Stephen Strasburg(1-0) and Tyson Ross(1-1) dueled it out with Strasburg and
the Washington Nationals coming out on top of the San Diego Padres by the
score of 3 to 0.
 
Washington tallied 2 runs in the top of the 7th inning when they came up with
3 base hits.  The key offensive moment was provided by Ian Desmond who
silenced the stadium when he ripped a single plating two runs.  Washington
had only 6 hits for the game.  
 
Rafael Soriano gained credit for his 3rd save.
