Rene Rivera had 2 base hits and Jamie Moyer pitched 9 strong innings as the
Seattle Mariners beat the Cleveland Indians by a score of 2 to 0.

Cleveland was unable to claim the lead after Seattle went ahead in the 4th
inning plating an isolated run using 2 hits. Seattle rapped out 7 hits for
the afternoon.

Moyer(1-1) was credited with the shutout. Kevin Millwood(1-3) was the loser.
Mike Hargrove was very impressed with his pitcher, Moyer, 'He had unusually
good pitch placement this afternoon. It was almost unfair - but a beautiful
game to watch from where I sat'
