At Jacobs Field the Texas Rangers outscored the Cleveland Indians 5 to
2.

Texas set the tone of the game in the first inning as they scored 3 runs on 4
base hits. That early scoring was all that Chris Young(1-1) needed.
Cleveland was set down quietly in the bottom of the 9th.

Young got help from Francisco Cordero who was credited with his 1st save.
Cliff Lee(1-1) was the losing pitcher. He allowed 7 hits and 1 walk in 8
innings.
