41,125 fans watched an exciting game at Citizen's Bank Park. The Atlanta
Braves topped the Philadelphia Phillies by the slimmest of margins, 6 to
5.

Charlie Morton(1-1) pitched well enough to earn the win. He went 8 and 1/3
innings surrendering 8 hits and 7 walks and surrendered 2 homeruns.
Philadelphia threatened in the 9th but their rally came up short.

Morton got help from Mike Gonzalez who was credited with his 4th save. The
losing pitcher was Joe Blanton(1-1). He pitched 6 innings and surrendered 5
hits and 5 walks.

'I was a little good, a little bad and a little ugly.' said Morton, 'I was
just giving us a chance to win.'
